Ammanford
Ammanford (Capel Hendre) · Home every night · £42,000–£50,000 + van + overtime \n Thermal Earth has installed over 3,500 heat pump systems across the UK. We design, install and maintain ground and air source systems — including Wales' first commercial mine water heat scheme, at our own HQ. \n We're looking for a Senior Electrician to lead the electrical side of that work. \n What you'll actually be doing \n\n • First and second fix on heat pump installs — supplies, isolators, controls wiring, immersion and cylinder circuits, load monitoring, commissioning support\n, • EV chargepoint installs and solar PV / battery storage work\n, • Leading a small team of electricians and mates: allocating work, checking quality, mentoring apprentices\n, • Inspection, testing and certification — EICs, MEIWCs, and signing off the team's work\n, • Notifications, DNO applications and G98/G99 paperwork\n, • Working with our design and install teams so the electrical scope is right before anyone gets on site — not fixed after\n\n What you need \n\n • NVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds 2360/2365 + AM2)\n, • 18th Edition BS 7671 (current amendment)\n, • City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/95) inspection and testing\n, • ECS Gold Card\n, • Full UK driving licence\n, • The judgement to run a job and the patience to bring a younger spark on\n\n What'll put you at the front of the queue \n\n • Heat pump, solar PV or battery storage experience — any of the three\n, • 2921 EV charging installation\n, • 2919 PV and battery storage\n, • Experience with heating controls, S-plan / Y-plan, and third-party control integration\n, • Domestic retrofit work in occupied homes\n\n Not done renewables before? If you're a strong, well-organised spark with a solid domestic or commercial background, we'll train you. The tickets we can add. The standards and the attitude have to already be there. \n What you get \n\n • £42,000–£50,000 depending on experience and tickets\n, • Van, fuel card and power tools\n, • Overtime paid, plus 28 days holiday inc bank holidays\n, • Pension\n, • Paid training and tickets — including anything you're missing on the renewables side\n, • Local patch: South and West Wales, home every night.\n, • A pipeline of work that isn't going anywhere. Heat pumps are the long game and we've been at it longer than most\n\n NO Agencies. \n
