Associate Director, FM ConsultancyGleeds Built Asset SolutionsNottingham | Birmingham | HybridAbout this opportunityOur Facilities Management team are a crucial component of our growing Built Asset Solutions offering, providing expert guidance, advice and management services to national and local client organisations. We are searching for an FM specialist to join us as a key member of our FM consultancy team, play an important role in the management, delivery and growth of the discipline. You'll join a collaborative and inclusive team of industry experts in a team providing high standards of service to national and regional, public and private sector clients. As associate director, you will lead facilities management consultancy commissions and support the growth of the FM team. They will turn client objectives into practical improvements across operating models, compliance, procurement, mobilisation, commercial management, asset information and service performance.The role combines hands-on delivery with client leadership. The successful candidate will take day-to-day ownership of significant assignments, manage project teams and maintain commercial control, working with a Director as account sponsor for the largest, highest-risk or most strategic commissions.This is a delivery-led role, with responsibility for commissions, clients, people and fees, supporting directors and business-unit leads by:Leading defined commissions and workstreams from mobilisation through to completionActing as the principal day-to-day contact for clients, with director support where appropriateManaging agreed fees, programme, resourcing, quality and project riskLeading and developing consultants and senior consultants working across their assignmentsContributing to bids, proposals, client development and repeat workEscalating material commercial, technical, legal or reputational risks to the DirectorWorking within Gleeds governance, quality and professional indemnity requirementsAs associate director you'll benefit from:Car allowance entitlement26 days annual leave + bank holidaysHoliday buy & sell scheme (buy up to 10 additional days annually)Annual professional subscription paymentEnhanced 39 week paid maternity leave benefitOpportunities to develop and grow your careerHealth & wellbeing benefitsExclusive corporate partnership offers and discountsHybrid working & flexible working arrangementsA contributory pension schemeWho we’re looking for;Knowledge, skills & behaviours required for this role include:Strong senior-level experience in facilities management, estates or built-asset consultancy, normally gained over at least eight yearsExperience of leading FM, estates, compliance, procurement, mobilisation or service-improvement assignmentsExperience of working across complex or multi-site estates and with outsourced or managing-agent delivery modelsGood working knowledge of both hard and soft FM servicesExperience of managing senior client relationships and presenting findings and recommendations clearlyExperience of managing project teams, programmes, budgets and competing prioritiesCommercial understanding of scopes, fees, supplier pricing, contracts, service levels and performance measuresExperience of producing clear reports, improvement plans, governance packs and management informationPractical experience of contractor or supplier performance managementExperience of contributing to bids, proposals or the development of existing client accountsAbout us Gleeds is a global property and construction consultancy with over 150 years of expertise, operating in 28 countries worldwide.
