We care about the best outcomes for local people, through our public services.We are proud of our world-famous thriving city with its rich culture, as well as affordable housing, good schools, beautiful green spaces – there’s really something for everyone!The role:The role of Enforcement Team Leader will provide a strong management lead to the Planning Enforcement team and expertise in planning enforcementDelivery of the local Enforcement Plan and key priorities for the Planning Enforcement team In the role you will be lead, supervise, co-ordinate and provide expert advice in relation to the enforcement of planning control to provide a modern, customer focussed, business friendly serviceYour demonstrable knowledge as an Enforcement Team Leader will include extensive experience in Town Planning, experience of presenting evidence, strong leadership skills. You will also have proven negotiation skills and a great record in managing performanceThe role of Enforcement Team Leader will require you to:Supervise and direct the statutory powers of enforcement and planning control, including the investigating of complaints, the monitoring of development and liaison with other regulatory bodiesManage and lead the enforcement team within the service providing strong leadership and direction with a focus on performanceDraft and agree a Local Enforcement Plan with stakeholders and regularly update this.
