Hardware Design Engineer \n 📍 Newcastle Area | Hybrid 3/2 split \n \n I'm working with an established electronics business who design and build their own products in-house. They're after a Hardware Design Engineer to support new product development someone who can own the electronics design and grow into the go-to expert on their core technologies. \n \n Small, fast-paced engineering team covering R&D, product development and new product introduction. You'd be leading projects, not just contributing to them. \n \n What you'll be doing \n\n • Designing new products - circuit design, schematic capture and PCB layout\n, • Working closely with the wider engineering team to get products into production\n, • Leading internal and external project teams, including subcontractors, and dealing with customers where needed\n, • Researching new technologies to keep the product roadmap current\n\n What they're after \n\n • Experience in a similar role, strong across schematic capture, PCB layout, analogue and digital circuit design, microcontrollers and simulation\n, • MEng in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience\n, • Someone who can lead and motivate, and juggle several projects at once\n, • Confident talking to technical and non-technical people alike\n, • Diligent, detail-driven, and genuinely bothered about hitting milestones\n\n Nice to have \n\n • Altium Designer\n, • MATLAB / Simulink / LabVIEW\n, • Some software development\n, • Project management experience\n\n \n Interested, or know someone who'd fit?
