\n Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Chef to join our public sector client on a temporary basis! \n 📍 Location: Edinburgh East – Various locations \n 🕒 Hours: 24–36 hours per week available \n 💷 Pay Rate: £14.27 per hour \n 📅 Duration: Temporary ongoing, with the possibility of a permanent opportunity \n 🔑 Start Date: ASAP, subject to completion of background checks Please note: This role requires a PVG Certificate for Children, or both Children and Adults. The cost is £59 for a new application or £18 to update an existing certificate, payable by the successful applicant. \n 💼 Key Responsibilities: \n \n • Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals each day\n, • Prepare meals in advance for weekend service\n, • Order food supplies and manage stock levels\n, • Complete temperature checks and maintain food safety records\n, • Carry out daily kitchen hygiene and compliance checks\n, • Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised and ready for each service\n, • Cater for a range of dietary, cultural and religious requirements\n \n \n 🙌 The Successful Candidate Should:\n \n \n • Have previous experience working as a Cook or Chef\n, • Be reliable, organised and able to work independently\n, • Have a good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety\n, • Be confident managing stock and placing food orders\n, • Have experience catering for a variety of dietary requirements (desirable)\n, • Hold, or be willing to obtain, a PVG for working with children\n 📩 Interested?
