To provide safe, respectful and person-centred care to individuals in their own homes, supporting them to remain independent and maintain their wellbeing.
Main Duties
- Support with personal care, dressing and continence needs.
- Assist with medication in line with care plans and training.
- Prepare meals and encourage good nutrition and hydration.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Support with mobility and safe moving and handling.
- Complete light household tasks.
- Follow care plans and risk assessments.
- Record care accurately after each visit.
- Report any concerns, changes or safeguarding issues immediately.
- Maintain dignity, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Attend training, supervision and competency assessments.
Requirements
- Caring, reliable and respectful.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Willing to complete required training.
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred.
Employment is subject to satisfactory references, right-to-work checks and an enhanced DBS check.
