We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Field Sales Agent to join our growing wholesale building merchant business. This role involves developing relationships with trade customers, contractors, and commercial clients while promoting our range of building materials and construction products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade customers and business clients.
- Identify new sales opportunities and generate business leads.
- Promote and sell building materials and company products to commercial customers.
- Visit customer sites to provide product advice and sales support.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and secure customer orders.
- Manage customer accounts and maintain accurate sales records.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify sales opportunities.
- Liaise with internal sales, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure excellent customer service.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
Requirements
- Previous experience in field sales, trade sales, or business development, preferably within the building materials or construction sector.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Positive attitude with a proactive approach to sales.
