Job Title: Barista & Bar Staff Location: Ice House Cafe and Bar Barking, 80 Abbey Road, Barking, IG11 Contract type: Zero hour contract Opening hours: 11am–11pm Pay: £13.00 per hour About us We're bringing Ice House Cafe and Bar to life in Barking Granary. It’ll be a feel-good venue for food, drinks and events. We're building our founding team ahead of opening and looking for a Barista who's ready to help set the tone from day one. We’re looking for all rounders for our venue. You will need to work well in a fast paced environment, have strong communication skills, take initiative and genuinely enjoy hospitality work. BARISTA What you'll be doing • Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks to a high standard (including latte art), • Delivering warm, friendly service that reflects our feel-good atmosphere, • Keeping your bar area clean, organised and well-stocked throughout your shift, • Following food hygiene and allergen guidelines at all times, • Working weekends as part of a flexible rota What we're looking for • Previous barista experience required, • Weekend availability necessary, • Reliable, personable, and comfortable being part of a new opening team, • Smart casual presentation (full dress code details to follow) BAR STAFFWhat you'll be doing • Preparing and serving drinks, including cocktails, to a high standard, • Delivering warm, confident service that reflects our feel-good atmosphere, • Checking ID and enforcing our Challenge 25 policy, • Keeping your bar area clean, organised and stocked throughout service, • Working weekends as part of a flexible rota What we're looking for • Previous bartending experience required, including mixology, • Weekend availability necessary, • Confident, sociable, and comfortable being part of a new opening team, • Smart casual presentation (full dress code details to follow) What we offer • £13.00 per hour, • 50% staff discount, • Access to Bright HR, • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), • The chance to help build something new from the ground up To apply: Please send your CV and a cover letter
