We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and hardworking cleaner to maintain two staff accommodation properties in Kentish Town. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has a great eye for detail and enjoys keeping homes clean, organised and well maintained. Job Purpose The Housekeeping Porter plays an important role in supporting the Housekeeping team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation throughout the hotel. The role involves ensuring housekeeping teams have the linen, supplies and equipment required to complete their duties efficiently, while also maintaining clean and safe back-of-house and public areas. The successful candidate should be organised, reliable, physically capable of carrying out manual tasks and willing to support the wider hotel team when required. Key Responsibilities • Deliver clean linen, towels and other housekeeping supplies to the required floors and housekeeping areas throughout the shift., • Collect used and soiled linen from housekeeping areas and ensure it is transferred to the designated storage or collection area safely and efficiently., • Maintain appropriate linen levels on each floor to support housekeepers in completing rooms efficiently., • Assist with receiving, organising and distributing linen deliveries., • Keep linen rooms, housekeeping cupboards, corridors and other designated back-of-house areas clean, tidy and organised., • Remove rubbish, empty waste and dispose of items correctly in accordance with hotel procedures., • Assist Housekeeping team members with heavier or bulky items when required, including moving linen, supplies, equipment and other approved hotel items., • Ensure housekeeping trolleys, equipment and storage areas are maintained safely and do not create hazards for guests or team members., • Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, health and safety concerns or hazards promptly to the appropriate manager., • Report any lost property found while carrying out duties and follow the hotel's lost property procedure., • Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are handled and stored safely in accordance with hotel procedures and COSHH requirements., • Respond promptly to reasonable requests from Housekeeping Supervisors and Hotel Management., • Support the Housekeeping team during busy periods to help ensure rooms and hotel areas are prepared within required timescales., • Maintain professional behaviour when working in guest-facing areas and minimise disruption to guests., • Follow hotel security procedures, including ensuring staff-only and storage areas remain secure where required., • Follow all company policies relating to health and safety, fire safety, manual handling and safe working practices. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming office environment across multiple floors, ensuring kitchens, meeting rooms, and communal areas are presented to a high standard throughout the day. Key Responsibilities Daily Duties Throughout the day, you will carry out scheduled inspections across Levels 1–6 to ensure all communal areas remain clean, tidy, and fully stocked. Your responsibilities will include: • Checking and maintaining all office kitchens and tea points., • Refilling consumables, including hand towels, washing-up liquid, tea, coffee, and milk., • Loading, unloading, and operating dishwashers., • Emptying internal rubbish bins and replacing liners., • Cleaning and maintaining coffee machines and beverage stations., • Inspecting meeting rooms, arranging chairs, and cleaning tables where required., • Cleaning the basement kitchen, including sinks, microwaves, worktops, and bins., • Completing an end-of-day clean of the coffee machine., • Putting external waste bins out for collection on Tuesday to Friday., • Clean skirting boards in lift lobby areas from Levels 7–1., • Remove scuff marks from walls using appropriate cleaning products., • Vacuum and mop the rear basement area., • Clean all refrigerators throughout the building., • Clean dishwasher filters., • Remove scuff marks from corridors on Levels 7–1.
