Engineering Manager \n Opportunity for a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead and develop the engineering and planning function at this part 145 aviation maintenance organisation in Harlow. This is a hands-on leadership role combining people management with technical ownership and project delivery-ideal for someone who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and driving engineering excellence. Key Responsibilities\n\n • Lead, mentor and develop the engineering and planning teams, promoting collaboration, innovation and high standards.\n, • Support performance management, coaching, and career development plans for engineers.\n, • Recruit, onboard and retain top engineering talent.\n, • Oversee end-to-end delivery of engineering projects, ensuring quality, time and budget targets are achieved.\n, • Work closely with Planning, Quality and other stakeholders to define scope, requirements, milestones and resource plans.\n, • Allocate resources effectively and prioritise workload to maximise productivity and output quality.\n, • Drive technical decision-making and promote best practice in machining and engineering.\n, • Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to processes, workflows and controls.\n, • Communicate project status, risks and milestones clearly to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.\n, • Ensure outputs meet relevant standards, security policies and regulatory requirements; manage approved data and technical publications.\n, • Undertake other duties within your capabilities as required.\nRequirements\n\n, • Minimum 5 years' engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership/management role.\n, • A solid understanding of Part 145 aviation maintenance,\n, • Proven experience delivering engineering projects.\n, • Strong technical background and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.\n, • Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.\n, • Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.\n\n This is a permanent job with a starting salary dependant on experience. you must have current UK right to work to be considered.
