We are looking for an R&D Power Electronics Validation & Certification Engineer to join our R&D team. In this role, you will contribute to the validation, verification, and certification of advanced power conversion systems used in energy storage, photovoltaic, and grid-connected applications. You will work in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment, supporting the development of innovative products from prototype stages through product certification and industrialization, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary R&D teams. • Analyze technical specifications and requirements for power electronic equipment and systems., • Perform commissioning activities for power conversion and control systems interfacing with energy storage solutions in laboratory environments., • Analyze logs, signals, errors, and performance metrics, generating clear and reusable reports to support engineering, quality, and certification activities., • Participate in the definition of validation strategies, test plans, test procedures, and acceptance criteria for prototypes, products under development, and certification programs., • Execute validation and verification tests in laboratory, factory, and field environments for power conversion and control systems., • Manage end-to-end test traceability, from requirement definition through execution and final reporting., • Perform proof-of-concept activities and validate hardware and software components and functionalities., • Support component qualification, product approvals, and certification processes., • Collect, process, and analyze test data using laboratory instrumentation and measurement equipment., • Prepare validation reports, certification documentation, and technical test records., • Develop and maintain automated testing solutions and laboratory test benches., • Plan, coordinate, and execute certification testing in accordance with applicable international standards and customer requirements., • Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field (minimum requirement)., • Experience in the validation and certification of electronic products and/or embedded software systems., • Experience working with laboratory test benches, HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) systems, and test automation environments., • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, power electronic converters, and control systems., • Proficiency in the use of laboratory instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, multimeters, temperature recorders, and similar equipment., • Experience preparing, managing, and executing prototype tests, customer tests, or product certification activities, including the preparation of test reports, is highly valued., • Experience in commissioning power converters and operating laboratory measurement equipment is considered an advantage., • Knowledge of photovoltaic systems and energy storage solutions, particularly battery systems and hybrid PV-battery applications, is positively valued., • Familiarity with international standards such as UL1741, IEC62477, IEC62109, IEC60076, as well as grid code compliance requirements, is valued., • Strong commitment to safe working practices and compliance with workplace health and safety standards., • High level of self-motivation, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies., • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills., • Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary and international teams., • Fluency in both Spanish and English is required. 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
